International development experts have praised legendary hero Link for saving entire kingdoms with no steering committee, stakeholder engagement matrix or three-year consultation process ending in a PDF nobody reads.
The renewed excitement around Zelda and Ocarina of Time has prompted policy officials to study whether ancient fantasy worlds may offer lessons for modern governance.
“Link identifies a problem, gathers tools and delivers outcomes” said one consultant. “Frankly, it’s dangerous behaviour…”
Aboriginal leaders said they were impressed that Link could enter a village, listen to locals, defeat evil and leave the place better off without renaming the project twice.
“If this was a government program, Ganon would still be there” said one community chair. “But he’d be co-designing a healing journey.”
Officials were particularly alarmed by Link’s habit of completing tasks directly after receiving them.
“We recommend slowing that down” said a department spokesperson. “People might start expecting delivery.”
A proposed remake has reportedly been delayed while a working group determines whether the Master Sword requires a procurement panel, a cultural safety audit and branded lanyards.
