WASHINGTON, USA – President Donald Trump has posted an AI-generated image depicting himself in a white lab coat and stethoscope, captioning it “a doctor making people better”, which medical professionals immediately confirmed he is not.

The image, which appears to show Trump palpating a patient who is also possibly AI, has drawn responses ranging from confusion to mild nausea.

Australian health commentators noted the move landed awkwardly alongside ongoing global concerns about actual healthcare access.

“Mob been telling governments for decades to invest in real doctors in remote communities” said one Yolŋu health worker. “Meanwhile a president puts on a fake coat and calls it medicine. We’ve seen better bedside manner at a servo.”

The White House has not clarified what medical condition the fake patient in the image was being treated for, though observers suggest it may have been an AI-induced existential crisis.

Critics noted the president has not visited a medical school, unlike millions of people who have.

A White House staffer explained the image was “aspirational”, which is also how many describe Closing the Gap targets.
