In a bold innovation, the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) has unveiled the “Inclusion Pie”, a glossy infographic that confirms what insiders already knew…
A full 75% of the slice is reserved for non‑Indigenous appetites, while the remaining quarter is presented as “rich with culture” and “best enjoyed cold after a long recruitment process”.
A senior official said the pie reflects “balanced nutrition” because everyone gets a taste of decision‑making even if some get the crumbs.
“The portion sizes are evidence‑based” the official added… “we measured inclusion by how included we feel”.
Critics (aka “whingers”) asked why the agency named for Indigenous peoples keeps the largest piece for those who are not and their reply was swift (2 months later)…
“Representation is not a pie” said a spokesperson, while pointing to the pie.
The launch concluded with a safety warning that the graphic “may contain traces of consultation”.
Applications for a second serving open next financial year, pending budget for extra plates.
