As NAIDOC Week rolls around once again, international tech giant, Innovatech, proudly announced its most meaningful act of reconciliation yet – changing the colours of its logo for exactly seven days.

Initially known for its monochrome branding, Innovatech’s executives boldly decided to introduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag colours, a gesture they assured media outlets was “deeply sincere”.

Moreover, to celebrate this historic event – the company immediately applied for a multimillion-dollar grant aimed specifically at Indigenous innovation projects, citing their temporary colour swap as proof of substantial community engagement.

Simultaneously, Innovatech’s press office flooded inboxes nationwide with detailed descriptions of the complex decision-making process behind selecting the exact shades of red, black, yellow, blue, green and white.

When questioned whether any actual Indigenous communities were consulted during this process, Innovatech spokesperson Karen Mills replied confidently, “We watched an informative five-minute video online; we felt profoundly inspired.”

Consequently, Innovatech concluded its media blitz by reminding everyone to download their latest app, subtly implying that reconciliation begins by accepting their software licence terms and conditions.
