Leadership demands respect, responsibility and the ability to foster trust among community members… but when so-called leaders resort to threats / bullying tactics – intimidating others, creating an atmosphere of fear and encouraging division – those foundational values crumble…

And the troubling nature of Wade Natty’s actions (article image + below comments) highlights a deeper issue regarding the integrity of community leadership.

Note: the threats and hatred towards me seemed linked to my questioning of established interests in the Gunnedah area, notably involving the Griffith family with whom he shares personal and professional ties.

“Can one of Deans family please organise a mental health assement for the lad??? He’s sending weird stuff that has nothing to do with me!” – Wade Natty

But aggression and intimidation should never be confused with strength or leadership because such behaviour sets a harmful example, encouraging others (particularly younger members of the community) to adopt similar approaches when handling conflicts or disagreements from these self-proclaimed or government-appointed “cultural leaders”.

“I’ll punch the c**t out of you and Dean. Stay in your own lane ya d**d dogs” – Wade Natty

When conflict or disagreement is met with hostility rather than constructive dialogue, it erodes trust and damages community cohesion…

And communities deserve better.

They deserve authentic leaders who genuinely understand their responsibility… leaders who inspire trust and set meaningful examples through their actions, rather than merely claiming authority or “culture” without substance.

Only then can our communities truly thrive.
